Realtor of the week: Arbuckle Lewis love of real estate started at early age

Buying or selling a home can be a stressful and emotional process. Therefore, it is recommended to ensure you choose an agent that has your best interest in mind, trustworthy, and will be honest with you.

“A real estate transaction is personal, yet it is also a business transaction. So, make sure you choose an agent that is going to advise you to make the best decision possible for your needs now and long-term,” said Lesley Arbuckle Lewis, Realtor, Greenwood King Prosperities.

Lewis specialize in most areas of Houston such as inside the Loop, Garden Oaks, Memorial, Briarmeadow, Briarcroft, Briarbend, Briargrove, Briargrove Park, Spring Valley, Tanglewood, among others.

Lewis is a sixth generation Houstonian and grew up in Hunters Creek, attended Memorial High School and Texas Christian University. After college, she moved to Dallas.

“What was supposed to be one year turned into five years as I grew my real estate career there. In the Spring of 2018, I moved back to Houston to be closer to family and now husband, and joined Greenwood King Properties. I love Houston and it is great to be home,” Lewis said.

Lewis started in real estate her sophomore year of college.

“I worked with a Dallas/Fort Worth broker. When I graduated, I worked as an analyst and then marketing manager for an oil and gas consulting firm. In 2014, I returned to my first love, real estate, full time and was mentored by two of the top agents in Dallas and learned a tremendous amount from both,” Lewis said.

For Lewis, being a Realtor combines her two passions of helping people and real estate.

“I love real estate. Every day is different, every transaction is different, every client is different — it keeps me on my toes, thinking outside the box and strategically with each transaction,” Lewis said.

However, her love of real estate started at an early age.

“My father was in commercial construction and built homes. In high school, I spent weekends at constructions sites or at open houses with him,” Lewis said.

Lewis’ past position as marketing manager honed many skills that benefit her clients today, such as negotiations, top-notch personal service, social media, and marketing, among others.

She is known for being hard-working, available to clients, thorough and knowledgeable.,

“I want to make this process easy and enjoyable for every client, and I want my clients to feel they are my only client. Seeing my clients so happy with their new home brings me so much joy,” Lewis said.
